Having transformed his own health, he closely monitors his biometrics quarterly and has achieved remarkable results—improving his A1C levels to reverse pre-diabetes, losing weight, gaining muscle, and reducing his biological age by nearly 10 years. Joel Taylor - Founder of American Sauna and Health Coach
Joel is a leader in the sauna industry, a dedicated health coach, and a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse background spanning construction, law enforcement, business, and wellness. His journey is one of continuous learning, resilience, and a commitment to excellence—qualities that have shaped both his career and his personal health transformation.
A Background Rooted in Hard Work & Leadership
Joel spent his high school and college years gaining hands-on experience in the construction and tree service industries. After graduating from Franklin College, where he was a standout athlete, he had a brief stint as a receiver with the Miami Dolphins before choosing a path of public service as a state trooper and police officer. Later, he transitioned into the business world, where he honed his leadership skills as an owner and executive in the finance and construction industries. Most recently, he built and successfully sold a thriving tree service business that served the Fishers and Indianapolis communities for over a decade.
A Personal Health Transformation
In 2019, Joel received a wake-up call when he was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. Determined to reclaim his health, he immersed himself in researching hot and cold therapy, nutrition, exercise, and breathwork. His commitment to wellness became a lifestyle, and through continuous education and biometric monitoring, he successfully reversed his pre-diabetes, lost weight, gained muscle, and reduced his biological age by nearly 10 years. Today, Joel is passionate about helping others take control of their health, cutting through the confusion surrounding diet, supplementation, and fitness to create sustainable, life-changing habits.

This realization sent him on a deep dive into the world of sauna engineering, leading him to study with some of the top sauna experts around the world. His passion for quality, combined with his entrepreneurial drive, led to the founding of American Sauna.
